Hawley Bowlus and Charles Lindbergh go for a Record

The Auto Pulley-tow Takeoff system was invented and tested by John Robinson and Woody Brown at Torrey Pines in the 1930s.

Hawley Bowlus was a major influence in San Diego Sailplane flight because of his factory located at Lindbergh field
